I graduated from New Life Institute of Massage Excellence (now part of Gwinnett College) in 1998. My passion was for Anatomy & Physiology (how the body is put together, and FUNCTIONS) and NeuroMuscular Therapy (a massage modality that works specific muscle groups in order to bring balance back to the soft tissue). I am still to this day fascinated by the puzzles our bodies present to us when things are not right.
Since graduating, I have worked in various settings, ranging from an alternative health center, to chiropractic offices, to The Spa at Chateau Elan. At the heart of it all, my goal was to help people get out of pain and correct the causes of their pain. Our massage studio is not your typical spa experience. A SPECIALIST WILL SAVE YOU MONEY because you won’t be chasing your pain. I create a customized session that provides the elements of a relaxation massage, while simultaneously addressing the needs of an individual to help identify and treat their areas of chronic pain and dysfunction. What I want to achieve with you is bringing you back to balance and function so that you can enjoy life.
"MYOasis" was chosen because the prefix MYO means “muscle” in Latin. The main focus in my office is your muscles, but I strive to create an Oasis for you as well. The company name is an opportunity to educate others that trained therapeutic hands can create true health benefits and that massage is an important viable health care profession.
